Most Popular Rides in Disneyland

Given the exhaustive list of rides that are at Disney theme parks, it’s fair to ask how many rides there actually are. The number five might not sound like much, but did you know that’s five original rides? In fact, Disney is one of the few theme park companies that has a ride in every single one of their parks that debuted before 2000.

Disneyland Railroad

This train ride provides an overview of both parks as well as a look at some of the park’s landmarks, including Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street USA. It takes about 20 minutes to ride around both parks once. You don’t need a ticket to take this ride; it’s included with park admission.

Haunted Mansion

This is one of Disney’s most famous dark rides, which means that it uses special effects like lighting and sound to create an immersive experience for riders. You’ll encounter 999 happy haunts on this humorous tour through haunted manor rooms filled with creepy characters who have been waiting for you all their lives! The Haunted Mansion took more than five years to create and opened on August 9, 1969. It has been remodeled several times since then, but it remains one of Disney’s most popular rides. check Disneyland ticket prices before planning.

Space Mountain

This is one of the original rides at Disneyland and it’s been open since 1975. It’s an indoor roller coaster that goes up and down in pitch blackness while music from Star Wars plays in the background. It’s not scary — just thrilling!

Adventureland

This land transports guests to exotic locations around the globe through its Jungle Cruise ride, which takes visitors past animatronic animals on a boat ride through a manmade jungle; Indiana Jones Adventure — Temple of the Forbidden Eye (roller coaster); Aladdin’s Oasis (arcade game); Pirates of the Caribbean — Battle for Buccaneer Bay (water coaster); and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (playground). Tomorrowland This land is inspired by futurist science fiction stories where humans have colonized other planets and traveled to other galaxies. It’s a place of imagination where anything can happen. Conclusion

While it is no surprise that the classic rides of Disneyland are still some of the most popular rides, I was surprised by how many of the ‘newer’ rides in the park made this list. You will find classic attractions like Sleeping Beauty and Dumbo as well as more recent favorites like Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story: Ride.
