Snapmaker 10w Laser

Have you heard about the Snapmaker 10w laser? Well, if not, or if at all you have heard about it before, but are not familiar with it, do not panic because this post contains everything you need. Let us go through some amazing qualities of the Snapmaker laser.

Features of the Snapmaker 10w laser

The 10W Laser Module increases power from 5 W to 10 W by utilizing the most advanced laser beam splitters. You can now play with a greater selection of materials as a result, and while cutting through basswoods as thick as 8 mm, the Snapmaker 10W Laser Module’s work rate can reach 6000 mm/min. For comparison, the cutting speed of the 1.6W Laser Module is outperformed by up to 8 times. It can complete laser work in a matter of seconds.

The module initially compresses the laser spot of each laser diode using the Fast-axis Collimating (FAC) lenses included in the two laser diodes. Then, it employs beam combining technology to combine the laser beams of the two laser diodes, producing a higher output power and an ultra-fine laser focus (0.05 mm 0.2 mm), which enables a higher energy density. High-quality laser works with perfect details are produced with a smaller laser focus and more power.

The unique wind channel within the Snapmaker 10W Laser Module produces excellent wind pressure, which blows away the fumes as the laser beam penetrates the material. The fumes are then sent directly into the grids of the Laser Engraving and Cutting Platform, where they are channeled out to reduce interference from the fumes on laser machining.

No more measuring materials by hand. The module will compute it for you after you place your material on the platform. The module can measure the thickness of your material by acquiring several sets of data from the camera and light emitter using the triangulation technique. Then, it will alter its Z orientation so that the focal point lands precisely on the surface of the substance. In a few seconds, you can finish focusing.

We value user success as much as we value user experience. For this reason, we started a thorough material testing process and created a case library for you in Luban. You have access to whole sets of suggested settings for popular laser materials, allowing you to pick one and get going right away. We built a gyro sensor into the module to ensure that no laser beam emerges if it is put improperly or moves from its intended position, protecting the user and any onlookers.

Long-term exposure to high temperatures will shorten the laser diode’s life. To ensure that the laser diode is properly cooled off anytime you use the Snapmaker 10W Laser Module; it includes two distinct blowing systems for both its PCBA and its laser. The lifespan can last up to 8,000–10,000 hours when used properly.

When the module’s temperature sensor detects a working temperature that is higher than usual (one that is greater than 55°C/131°F), the module immediately shuts off. You can continue working on the Touchscreen after the temperature returns to the normal range.

As always, expandability. With the exception of the 150 models, all Snapmaker 2.0 series models are compatible with the 10W Laser Module, and new machines will also be compatible with it. You can use it with addons as well, such as the CAN Hub, Air Purifier, Rotary Module, and Emergency Stop Button.

The wide-angle HD camera captures your material in one shot using the enhanced camera capture technology, enabling you to get a real-time preview of your laser job on the material in Luban. The work area can now be checked fully and hassle-free.
