International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on 8 March all over the world. These days are dedicated to the achievements of women. In a progressive country like India, women are now ahead of men in every field. From small offices to big institutions and organizations, women are occupying important positions. Here we will discuss those five women IAS officers who have achieved this position with their hard work and dedication.

IAS PranjalPatil

PranjalPatil is the first blind woman IAS officer of India. PranjalPatil is a resident of Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra. PranjalPatil did his studies from Mrs. Kamla Mehta School, Dadar, Mumbai, which is for special children like Pranjal, where education is done in Braille script. Pranjal did his graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Pranjal took the help of a special software made for blind people for the preparation of UPSC. Pranjal got 124th rank in UPSC exam with his strong determination despite not having eyesight. Apart from her parents, Pranjal gives the credit of her success to her friends and husband.

IAS Srushti Jayant Deshmukh

Jayant Deshmukh is a UPSC 2019 batch IAS officer in the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He secured 5th rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2018. IAS SrushtiJayant Deshmukh was born on March 28, 1996 in Bhopal. SrishtiDeshmukh completed her schooling from Carmel Convent School, Bhopal. After intermediate she started engineering studies. Srushtibecame an IAS officer at the age of just 23. She topped among women candidates.She gives the credit of her success to her family.

IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal

Durga Shakti Nagpal was Born on 25 June 1985 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, she is considered an honest and brave IAS officer. He has completed his graduation in Computer Engineering from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University. This lady officer has taken a bold step against the sand mafia in Greater Noida.She was determined to end all illegal sand mining along the Yamuna and Hindon river banks. To stop those activities, she developed a special investigation team and seized 24 dumper trucks, 300 trolleys and also arrested 15 people involved in that illegal operation. Durga Shakti Nagpal is always ready to serve the country and also inspires the women of the country to move forward.

IAS Tanu Jain

Dr.Tanu Jain is a doctor and IAS officer. She is known all over India as Drishti IAS Academy interviewer. Dr.Tanu Jain was born on 17 July 1986 at Sadar Bazar Delhi 6. He completed his schooling from Cambridge Public School, Srinivaspuri, New Delhi.  She secured all india rank 501 came from general category and got total 648 marks in UPSC 2014. Due to his hard work, IASTanujain cracked the UPSC Prelims in just two months of preparation

IAS TV Anupama

TVAnupama is an IAS officer of 2010 batch. She was born in Marancheri, a small village in Malappuram district of Kerala. Anupama appeared in 10th class examination from Vijaymatha Convent High School, Ponnai in 2002. She secured 13th rank in this examination. In 2004, she secured 3rd rank in 12th class examination from St. Clair’s Higher Secondary School, Thrissur. After this, Anupamaobtained an engineering degree from the country’s renowned engineering institute BITS Pilani with 92% marks. Anupama secured fourth rank in the Civil Services Examination. During her tenure, Anupama conducted several raids across the state on illegal trade of adulterated food items and shut down many such business networks. Along with working for the upliftment of the society, she started ‘Healthy Food Mission’ and Organic Agriculture.
