Canadian citizens who wish to travel to India are required to obtain an Indian visa in order to be allowed entry. Visas must be obtained before traveling and can be applied online or at one of the Indian visa application centers across Canada. As of April 2020, all major international airports in India are under enhanced security protocols, so it is important for Canadian citizens to be aware of the procedures in place for entry.

When applying for an Indian visa, Canadian citizens must provide a valid Canadian passport and a copy of their passport. You’ll also need to declare any goods you’re bringing into the country to determine if they’re subject to taxes or duty.
