In an interview with the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp has laughed off reports linking him with a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. But Liverpool are reportedly prepared for a January rush of signings, with reports that Ismael Bennacer could be on his way to AC Milan. The Reds will reportedly look to strengthen their midfield in January, as they are likely to lose Ethan Ennis.

Ismael Bennacer has been linked with a move to AC Milan

There are reports that Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer. The Algerian international spent two years at Arsenal between 2015 and 2017. However, he left the Gunners for Empoli in 2017. He joined Milan last summer for a fee of PS42 million, but his deal with the Serie A outfit expires in 2024.

Bennacer has been linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United. However, it seems that the Londoners have been given the lead in the race.

It’s believed that the two parties will hold a meeting in the coming weeks. If all goes well, then the move to Anfield could be a reality.

During the summer, Liverpool were rumored to be in talks with Enzo Fernandez and Sofyan Amrabat. They’re also thought to be in contact with Thomas Partey.

AC Milan have been trying to tie Ismael Bennacer to a new long-term contract. However, it appears that the Serie A giants are struggling to persuade the 24-year-old to agree to an extension.

Liverpool are resigned to losing midfielder Ethan Ennis this summer

Liverpool have resigned themselves to losing a talented young midfielder this summer. Ethan Ennis is one of the academy’s brightest prospects and has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

The 16-year-old is a good example of a player who has demonstrated a level of maturity and has made a leap to the first team. He has scored a hat-trick in a FA Youth Cup final.

The Liverpool Academy has produced a number of promising youngsters in recent years. Several have gone on to make the move into the first-team. As with most players, it takes time. However, the club has managed to secure a number of scholarships for Ennis and his peers.

Aston Villa were the only side to score against the young midfielder in this year’s FA Youth Cup. But Ennis played a key role in helping the Under 18s to reach the final.

He has been impressing in the Under-18s, scoring two goals in seven Premier League appearances. His impressive hat-trick against Sutton United last month showed off the ability to score.

Liverpool are willing to wait until the summer of 2023 to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham

Getting an eye-catching marquee signing in midfield is a key priority for Liverpool. The Reds have been scouting players for months. They were initially pursuing Aurelien Tchouameni, but he decided to join Real Madrid. But Liverpool have remained keen on Borussia Dortmund’s hottest prospect.

As such, Jurgen Klopp has joined the recruitment team and is guiding the move. While the club has made three signings this summer, they have yet to strengthen the engine room. That could change in January.

Bellingham is one of the best young midfielders in the world. He was captain of the Bundesliga’s top-flight squad this season, and he has already earned 17 caps for England.

There are a number of clubs interested in acquiring him. Liverpool are one of them, along with Manchester City, and Chelsea. In addition, Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the 19-year-old.

One of the best things about acquiring Bellingham is that his contract doesn’t expire until 2025. That means he is eligible to make an immediate impact at Anfield. Moreover, he is considered an all-rounder who is capable of playing anywhere.

Jurgen Klopp wants to go all-in on a EUR120m midfield lynchpin

In order to regain a place in the top four this season, Liverpool must bring in new midfield reinforcements. The Reds are currently without an attacking midfielder. However, they have some players capable of filling the role. Naby Keita, Arthur Melo and James Milner all offer options in the middle.

Amid reports that Liverpool are lining up a bid for midfielder Jude Bellingham, Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he would like to have his hands on a new lynchpin before the transfer window reopens in January. The manager has spoken in the past about the importance of a strong midfield unit.

Bellingham has impressed in his time with Borussia Dortmund and is one of the best young midfielders in Europe. He has shown great passing range and an eye for goal. Manchester City and Chelsea are also chasing him.

Liverpool’s current midfield lacks balance and creativity. Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have struggled in recent weeks. This has led to a lack of defensive protection for the team. Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk are also out of form.
