If you missed the announcement, Paramount+ (pronounced “Paramount Plus”) has arrived in the UK. The popular streaming service, which made its debut in the United States last year, brings together boxsets and blockbusters from a number of studios and channels, including Paramount Pictures (obviously), Nickelodeon, and Showtime. Like rivals Netflix and Prime Video, Paramount+ hopes to entice subscribers with its own exclusive shows, which will only air on the streaming platform.

Paramount+ costs £6.99 per month, however, you can drop that monthly cost by subscribing to an annual plan for £69.90 instead. New customers can take advantage of the Paramount Plus free trial to explore the library, stream movies, and download TV show episodes to their smartphone for longer journeys at no cost.

For a limited time, Paramount+ subscribers can boost the usual 7-day free trial to 30-days with a promo code.

However, it’s Sky TV customers who enjoy the ultimate Paramount+ deal. In fact, it might be one of the best Sky TV deals around at the moment too!

That’s because if you pay for Sky Cinema as part of your Sky TV package, you’ll be able to access everything available as part of the Paramount+ library at no extra cost.

That means you’ll be able to stream films like Scream 5, Mean Girls, Pulp Fiction, as well as exclusive series Mayor of Kingstown, The First Lady, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and children’s classics like SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, and Rugrats on your Sky Glass or Sky Q. Not only that, but everything can be streamed across the home using a Sky Q mini box or Sky Stream Puck. So, you’ll have Paramount+ in every room of the house.

What Is Included With Paramount Plus UK?

Paramount+ brings together blockbuster movies, TV shows and children’s programming from a number of US television channels and film studios, including Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV, and CBS. As well as popular shows and movies from these sources, Paramount+ plans to bolster its library with 150 all-new shows created in the UK and mainland Europe. Unfortunately, these shows are still in production and aren’t available to stream at the moment.

In the meantime, Paramount+ subscribers will find film franchises like Transformers, Mission: Impossible and Jack Reacher are also available to stream as part of the flat monthly subscription fee, with the promise of the latest blockbusters, including Scream 5, Clifford The Big Red Dog, and Top Gun: Maverick making their way to Paramount+ as soon as they leave UK multiplexes. In the coming months, that could make Paramount+ a must for movie fans …although it’s worth noting that some of the biggest hitters aren’t available at launch.

Paramount+ subscribers will be able to binge-watch a wealth of TV shows that have enjoyed huge popularity in the United States, like the epic family saga Yellowstone and its prequel series 1883, an exclusive show based on the best-selling Halo video game, and docudrama The Offer, based on Academy Award-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy’s behind-the-scenes experiences when making The Godfather.

We’ve got a comprehensive list of the best TV shows and films available as part of the new streaming platform in our guide to everything you need to know about Paramount+.

How To Watch Paramount Plus UK On Sky Glass

If you’re planning to stream everything from Paramount+ on Sky Glass – the custom-designed 4K TV from the teams at Sky TV, which we praised in our Sky Glass review. First up, you’ll need to find the Paramount+ app in the menu.

The fastest way to do that is to rely on the built-in hands-free voice search by saying “Hello Sky. Get Paramount+”. If you spot any of the exclusive Paramount+ TV shows or movies in the main menu, you can click on any content from the streaming platform and that’ll throw you to the app menu.

And finally, you can check the Apps and Inputs menu, then select the Paramount+ app.

Whichever method you pick, once you’re in the Paramount+ app on Sky Glass, you’ll need to confirm that you want to sign-up for a subscription. Provided that you’ve got a Sky Cinema subscription, you’ll see the cost of Paramount+ is listed as £0 per month.

Once you’ve hit the “confirm” button, the Paramount+ app will refresh with instructions to create a Paramount+ app account. This will enable you to sign in to Paramount+ apps on other devices, like your iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone or tablet, Fire TV Stick, Roku, and other gadgets.

The easiest way to create your Paramount+ app is to use a smartphone or tablet to scan the QR code on the television screen to jump to the web address. You’ll need to enter your Sky iD information – this is the account that you use to sign in to the Sky Go app. This is so that Sky TV and Paramount can identify and verify your Sky account and check that you have a Sky Cinema subscription.
