Sherman Dils Sr. was born in 1881. He became a car dealer when he was 29 years old. In those days, cars were shipped in pieces and had to be put together in an assembly shop up the street. Sherman’s father, James Dils Sr., owned the dealership until the mid 1950s. His son, Sherman III, has continued the tradition.
