Tigers are endearing animals. One of the most recognizable animals in the world, they are the largest living cat species. Drawing For Kids are currently classified as endangered, but they have long played a significant role in mythology and culture; tigers (and lions) can be found on many flags and coats of arms.

Like any subject, drawing tigers can be as much about artistic expression and feeling as it is about doing accurate, in-depth studies. Don’t be offended if someone has in the past questioned your artistic abilities—up it’s to each individual artist! Do what comes naturally to you; if you enjoy the process, you have already succeeded.

Drawing a tiger:

Drawing any subject follows a consistent process in general:

  • Simple strokes should be used to lightly sketch the entire animal’s outline.
  • Then, draw construction lines to denote the main features on your drawing. This will enable you to assess form and proportion and make necessary adjustments.
  • Darker tones will give your sketch more substance. Leave some spaces empty to show highlights.
  • By focusing on the mid-tones, make the key characteristics more distinct.
  • Add the final details.
  • On the other hand, if you’re eager to get going and are only interested in learning how to draw a tiger, we’ve got you covered. For our simple-to-follow tiger sketching project, which includes step-by-step instructions, scroll down.

Steps for drawing a tiger

  • Learn how to draw a tiger by following this guide!
  • You will learn how to build a tiger’s basic outline as well as how to add details and face traits in this comprehensive tutorial. Since this is a beginner’s instruction, the tiger’s stripes were simply drawn on by scribbling back and forth with an HB pencil.
  • In this tiger drawing tutorial, we have used red to indicate precisely where the construction lines are, and then we have lightened them after we have added the detail on top.

You will need the following materials to draw a tiger:

  • Technical pencil Paper, or notebook Eraser
  • Duration: one day

Step 1:

  • On your page, draw a circle in the centre. The majority of your tiger’s torso will be made up of this.

Step 2:

  • Add two construction lines after that. Two lines: a vertical line down the centre of the circle (this will determine how tall your tiger is), and a diagonal line at roughly a 20-degree angle.
  • As shown, extend the ends of the diagonal line past the circle. Additionally, extend the vertical line downward by a distance roughly equal to the diameter of your circle.

Step 3:

  • To the right of the first circle, draw a second, smaller circle. Make sure the tops of both circles line up, but don’t overlap them, as this will serve as the top of your tiger’s hindquarters.

Step 4:

  • Two more circles, this time smaller and overlapping to the left, should be about the same size. These will be the tiger’s front legs’ tops. Place the first one so that its bottom coincides with the bottom of the large circle, and the second one slightly higher and overlapping the first.

Step 5:

  • Create an oval to represent the tiger’s chest. align the intersection of the two front circles with the oval’s bottom.
  • Extend your oval up past the top of the large body circle by the same amount as the distance between the diagonal construction line and the bottom of the two front circles.
